The Commission was right to register the European Citizens' Initiative (ECI) “Minority SafePack - one million signatures for diversity in Europe” that calls on the EU to improve the protection of persons belonging to national and linguistic minorities through the adoption of a series of legal acts, as this falls within its competence.
