Maroš Šefčovič expects progress on 19 September with transit of Russian gas through Ukraine

Maroš Šefčovič, European Commission Vice-President for the Energy Union, said on Wednesday 18 September that he hoped for progress in the next round of trilateral negotiations (between Russia, the European Union and Ukraine) on the transit of Russian gas to Europe via Ukraine, which will take place in Brussels on Thursday 19 September (see EUROPE B12323A5).
