21/06/2019 (Agence Europe) – After the visit of the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy (see EUROPE 12279/18) on 19 June, it is the European Parliament's turn tosend a delegation of four MEPs to the country on Monday 24 June to “assess the political situation on the ground, following the recent political crisis, and to take stock of Moldova's current relations with the EU”. The delegation, headed by Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman David McAllister (EPP, Germany), and composed of Siegfried Mureșan (EPP, Romania), Claire Moody (S&D, UK) and Heidi Hautala (Greens/EFA, Finland), is expected to meet, among others, the President, Igor Dodon, the Prime Minister, Maia Sandu, the President of the Moldovan Parliament, Zinaida Greceanîi, and Pavel Filip, Chair of the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) in Parliament and former Prime Minister.
