House of Commons rejects a motion to prevent a no-deal exit

12/06/2019 (Agence Europe) – The British House of Commons on Wednesday 12 June rejected a resolution giving British MPs the means to prevent a no-deal exit from the EU on 31 October. By 309 votes to 298, they rejected a transparent motion, initiated by Labour, that sought to give MPs the means to force a Prime Minister to avoid this scenario and allow him or her to legislate in this direction.
