The Financial Transaction Tax (FTT) will be back on the agenda of the European Finance Ministers on Friday 14 June in Luxembourg. While no further ministerial discussions on this subject had taken place since 2016, the ministers will take stock of the progress of the dossier, which was relaunched by France and Germany in 2018 (see EUROPE B12151A2). They will also take note of the progress made in the establishment of the Banking Union and will hold a debate on sustainable finance.
