Paris and Berlin remain committed to deepening governance of the euro area

Bruno Le Maire, the French Minister of Finance, and the German Ministers of Economy, Peter Altmaier, and of Finance, Olaf Scholz, reiterated their determination to deepen Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) on Tuesday 4 June in Berlin, on the occasion of the German Industry Days (see EUROPE B12268A1), a few days before a Eurogroup meeting which is expected to take into account a number of developments in this area.
