In-depth investigation into a Lithuanian measure on electricity strategic reserve

03/06/2019 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission opened an in-depth investigation on Monday 3 June to assess whether the remuneration granted by Vilnius, from 2013 to 2018, to an energy company for the provision of electricity strategic reserve services complied with EU State aid rules. Following a formal complaint in 2016, the institution came to the preliminary conclusion that this measure constituted a State aid and therefore its compatibility with Union law must now be examined....
