EU announces €12 million in emergency aid for victims of cyclone Idai

09/04/2019 (Agence Europe) – The EU will increase its humanitarian aid by €12 million for victims of tropical cyclone Idai and floods in Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe, the Commission announced on Tuesday 9 April. This sum will finance shelter, food and access to safe drinking water and sanitation for the most vulnerable. “There are still urgent humanitarian needs to be met”, says European Commissioner Christos Stylianides in a statement.
