01/04/2019 (Agence Europe) – The annual inflation rate in March was 1.4%, according to a flash estimate from the European Union Statistical Office (Eurostat) published on Monday 1 April, down 0.1 percentage points from February (see EUROPE B12215A20). With regard to the components of inflation, energy prices rose the most between March 2018 and March 2019, by 5.3%, followed by food, alcohol and tobacco (+1.8%), services (+1.1%) and non-energy industrial goods (+0.2%).
