Council of the EU is struggling to establish its position on confidentiality of electronic communications

Discussions in the EU Council on the draft regulation on the confidentiality of electronic communications (ePrivacy) are decidedly difficult. The meeting of the Working Party on Telecommunications on 14 March was long and, on the whole, inconclusive. At this stage, no new meetings are planned.
