Postponement of European Parliament vote on taxonomy in sustainable finance

19/02/2019 (Agence Europe) – The vote of the European Parliament's Economic and Monetary Affairs and Environment Committees on Wednesday 20 February on the draft report by Sirpa Pietikäinen (EPP, Finland) and Bas Eickhout (Greens/EFA, the Netherlands), which lays the foundations for the future taxonomy on sustainable finance (see EUROPE 12026), was eventually postponed due to the lack of a stable majority supporting the compromises and at the request of the EPP Group.
