Home stretch entered in negotiations on technical measures

13/02/2019 (Agence Europe) – As we went to press, negotiators for the three EU institutions were still trying to reach a compromise on technical fisheries measures (see EUROPE 12191) on the evening of Wednesday, 13 February. The Council's mandate provides for a ban on electric trawl fishing in early 2022, while the European Parliament was expecting an immediate ban.
