12/02/2019 (Agence Europe) – The European Parliament decided on Tuesday 12 February in Strasbourg to give its approval to the conclusion of the fisheries protocol between the EU and Côte d'Ivoire (see EUROPE 12053). The new six-year protocol (2018-2024) provides fishing opportunities for European Union vessels in Côte d'Ivoire waters, namely 28 freezer tuna seiners and 8 surface longliners. The annual financial contribution paid by the European Union amounts to 682,000 euros. (LC)
