11/02/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Friday, February 8, the European Patent Office (EPO) concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the organisation Licensing Executives Society International, which represents some thirty companies specialising in the field of intellectual property. Objective: to improve the visibility of patents and strengthen joint activities between SMEs, industry representatives, experts in technology transfer and intellectual property law, as well as public research organisations. "The main goal of our agreement is to enable current and future innovators to make better use of the patent system by overcoming barriers such as lack of knowledge about IP and commercialisation options”, explained EPO President António Campinos.
