18/01/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 18 January, the European Union decided to allocate an additional €35 million for Côte d'Ivoire to support reforms in public financial management, vocational training policies and the improvement of the climate for business and trade. This budget allocation, which stems from the mid-term review of the National Indicative Programme, consists of €29.3 million for the Good Governance and Development Contract, €5 million to support the Interim Economic Partnership Agreement, and €0.7 million for accompanying measures. With this aid, the 11th European Development Fund is now supporting Côte d'Ivoire with €308 million for 2014-2020. The African country is also supported by the EU Emergency Trust Fund for Africa with up to €52 million. (MB)
