European Parliament significantly increases envelope of future European Social Fund+

The European Parliament increased the post-2020 envelope of the European Social Fund plus (ESF+) from €101 billion to €120 billion in current prices, when it voted (543 votes in favour, 81 against, 64 abstentions) on the draft report by Verónica Lope Fontagné (EPP, Spain) on Wednesday 16 January in plenary session in Strasbourg.
