Green light for prolongation of Slovenian tonnage tax scheme in maritime transport

10/12/2018 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission approved on Monday 10 December the prolongation of Slovenian tonnage tax scheme in maritime transport. The original measure got the go-ahead from the European Commission on 13 January 2009 (EUROPE 9817). This, with a budget of €3.52 million per year, allows companies linked to the international maritime transport sector to choose - under certain conditions - to be taxed on a flat-rate basis according to the net tonnage of their fleet,...
