Participating in definition of marine protected areas in Antarctica is not an exclusive competence of EU, according to Court

Decisions taken under international treaties to protect biodiversity in Antarctica must be taken jointly by the European Union and the Member States party to these treaties, the EU Court of Justice ruled on Tuesday 20 November (cases C-626/15 and C-659/16).
