Right to privacy should not automatically strip rightholders of their rights, Court confirms

The owner of an Internet connection used for copyright infringement cannot automatically be exonerated from liability simply by invoking his or her right to privacy, the Court of Justice of the EU states in a judgment returned on Thursday 18 October (case C-149/17).
