Council gives agreement to opening of EU delegations to Kuwait and Turkmenistan

16/07/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 16 July, the Council of the EU gave its green light to the proposal of the European External Action Service to open EU delegations in Kuwait and Turkmenistan. The delegation to Kuwait is expected to open in 2019 and will also cover Qatar. At the moment, Kuwait and Qatar come under the European delegation to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The EU currently has 144 delegations in the world to international and regional States and organisations. (CG)
