29/06/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 29 June, on the sidelines of the European summit, member state ambassadors endorsed the compromises negotiated with the European Parliament on the electronic communications code (ECC), which seeks to encourage the deployment of infrastructures, and on the body of European regulators for electronic communications (BEREC), which caps prices of intra-EU international calls (see EUROPE 12035). The two texts should be published on 2 July. Ambassadors also approved the compromise on the draft regulation relating to the free flow of non-personal data (FFoD), which bans the unjustified location of data except for public security reasons (see EUROPE 12045).
