Halt in interpreting services provokes Parliament committee vote postponement on insolvency directive

The European Parliament’s judicial affairs committee (JURI) is expected to give its position on the draft report by Angelika Niebler (EPP, Germany) on the proposal for a directive harmonising the business insolvency rules (see EUROPE 11673). The vote, however, was finally postponed until following morning at 10.30am. 

The reason for this was that the interpreting services stopped at 12.30pm precisely. Since they began their strike movement, interpreters are not allowing any overtime...
