Stairway to Excellence initiative extended in support of regional level innovation

20/06/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 19 June, the European Commission announced the relaunch of the Stairway to Excellence initiative in support of the regions suffering from a lack of innovation. The objective is to help these regions develop smart specialisation strategies by providing them with expert support so that they can take maximum advantage of the future Cohesion Policy and Horizon Europe during the next budget cycle (see EUROPE 10013, 12036).
