20/06/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 20 June, the Committee of Permanent Representatives to the EU (Coreper) approved the inter-institutional agreement on the regulation for a single digital gateway obtained at the end of last May (see EUROPE 12026). The text aims to facilitate access for individuals and businesses to a range of administrative procedures by way of an online portal, namely, the existing "Your Europe" portal. Some of these administrative procedures include: requesting a proof of residence, applying for study loans and grants, recognition of academic titles, registering a motor vehicle and claiming pension benefits. The vote at the internal market and consumer protection committee is planned for 12 July and the one for the plenary session will certainly be in October, according to the information we have received.
