Four new member states join international cooperation on high-performance calculation

15/06/2018 (Agence Europe) – Austria, Finland, Lithuania and Sweden have joined state EuroHPC cooperation in recent days to establish IT infrastructure capable of carrying out calculations a hundred times faster than at present using mega computers by 2022-2023.  The European Commission will contribute €500 million towards the deployment of this infrastructure, which will cost nearly a €1 billion (see EUROPE 11937). 15 member states are already part of this cooperation, (Germany,...
