The annual inflation rate grew by 0.6% and 0.5% in the Eurozone and the European Union respectively between April and May, to stand at 1.9% and 2.0%, according to an estimate published by the statistical office of the European Union (Eurostat) on Friday 15 June.
Both annual inflation rates are also up on May 2017, when they stood at 1.4% in the Eurozone and 1.6% in the European Union.
