18/05/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 15 May, the European Commission opened a re-examination, following the expiry of the anti-dumping duty in place since 2013 on imports of ceramic tableware and kitchenware items from China. The request for these measures to be re-examined was made in February by the European Federation for Table and Ornamental ware, which represents more than 30% of the total production of tableware items in the EU. The association considers that the expiry of the measures would be likely to bring about the continuation or reappearance of dumping and the continuance or reappearance of the damage caused to the industry in the EU.
