Following a meeting in Brussels this week (24-26 April) between their chief negotiators, the EU warned Mercosur (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay), on Friday 27 April, that without concessions from them in sectors of offensive European interest, the negotiations on the trade section of an association agreement would not succeed.
