European and Japanese committed to swift conclusion of their talks on protecting bilateral investment

Following a meeting of their chief negotiators on Thursday 26 April, the European Commission announced that the EU and Japan hope to conclude their negotiations "swiftly" for an agreement on investment protection.  This agreement is to be separate from their economic and partnership agreement that was concluded in December 2017.
