20/04/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 20 April, the Committee of Permanent Representatives (Coreper) approved the interinstitutional agreement on the directive relating to proportionality testing prior to the adoption of a new regulation on professions (see EUROPE 11986). The directive was part of a “services” package comprising a directive on the procedure for notification of authorisation regimes and requirements relating to services, and an electronic “services” card (directive and regulation). The first legislative dossier is making headway and a further meeting for interinstitutional negotiation will be held on Thursday 26 April. The second is at a standstill since it was rejected by the European Parliament (see EUROPE 11986). (PH)
