19/04/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 19 April, the Council added four more people to the list of those already subject to restrictive measures – visa ban and assets freeze – against North Korea. The four have been involved “in deceptive financial practices which are suspected of contributing to the DPRK’s nuclear-related, ballistic-missile-related or other weapons of mass destruction-related programmes”, the Council states. The decision is part of the EU’s autonomous sanctions regime in addition to the United Nations sanctions. 59 people and nine entities are now on the list of EU autonomous measures. 80 people and 75 entities are also subject to EU sanctions given transposition of UN sanctions.
