19/04/2018 (Agence Europe) – During a meeting in Skopje with the prime ministers of the Western Balkan countries on Wednesday 18 April, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini underlined "the importance of regular meetings" between the six, according to a press release from the European External Action Service (EEAS). Holding regular meetings helps to create "not only the confidence but also open, direct, frank, constructive channels" between partners, the EEAS states, adding that holding regular meetings also "helps and accompanies the good cooperation within the region". Mogherini and the prime ministers also discussed the enlargement package that was presented on 17 April, "including how to support each other and solve open issues where they exist, in the spirit of good neighbourly relations and regional cooperation".
