On Wednesday 11 April, aluminium producers' associations from the EU, USA, Canada, Japan and Brazil called on the leaders of the G20 countries to set up a global forum to deal with the problem of global overcapacity in their sector, in keeping with the forum established in 2016 to deal with global overcapacity in the steel sector.
