On Thursday 29 March, the Council of Europe’s Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) published a report criticising the judicial reforms decided in Poland at the end of 2017.
The 16-page GRECO report – developed as part of the first 'ad hoc procedure' ever triggered by GRECO on the grounds of “exceptional circumstances” (see EUROPE 11925) – is preliminary, pending a definitive version including the initiatives announced by Poland last week.
