On Wednesday 31 January, the Committee of Permanent Representatives to the EU (Coreper) approved the informal inter-institutional agreement concluded last week with the European Parliament on the funding of the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO).
The member states are in favour of granting an exceptional €600,000 subsidy a year from the Creative Europe programme. This sum represents approximately one third of the orchestra's annual spending.
