European ports give warm welcome to Commission proposal on ship waste disposal

24/01/2018 (Agence Europe) – In a press release dated Monday 22 January, the European Sea Ports Organisation (ESPO) said that the European Commission proposal on port reception facilities for disposing of ship waste presented on 16 January last as part of the “plastics strategy” (see EUROPE 11940), goes in the right direction, particularly with regard to expanding the scope of the current provisions.
