Committee of Regions concerned at Commission thoughts on subsidiarity

19/01/2018 (Agence Europe) – In a press release on Friday 19 January, the Committee of the Regions (CoR) welcomed the appointment of the members of the Task Force on Subsidiarity and Proportionality (see EUROPE 11942). It made the point, however, that “the reflection on subsidiarity cannot, however, endorse Europe’s disengagement in the field of regional development, as envisaged in Scenario 4 of the Commission’s White Paper on the Future of Europe”.
