On Monday 8 January, the EU Council added North Korea's Ministry of the People's Armed Forces (MPAF) and 16 people to the the list of people and entities subject to an assets freeze and travel restrictions, due to Pyongyang's nuclear weapon and ballistic missile-development activities. The EU has thus transposed the targeted measures imposed by United Nations Security Council Resolution 2397 of 22 December.
