Important meeting between Juncker and Moraziecki to seek outcome to dispute over rule of law

In Brussels on Tuesday 9 January, the President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, will receive the new Polish Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, for a dinner to discuss a number of subjects of common interest, which will inevitably include the question of the rule of law in Poland, the Commission having decided on 20 December to trigger the article 7 procedure (see EUROPE 11930).
