08/01/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 8 January, British Prime Minister Theresa May, reshuffled her government, following the forced departure of Deputy Prime Minister, Damian Green, last December, due to a scandal involving pornography. The emblematic Brexit ministers, however, David Davis (Brexit), Boris Johnson (Foreign Affairs) and Philip Hammond (Finance) have retained their positions. Over the weekend, the British press mentioned the possibility of a minister in charge of a “no deal" with the EU, in the event of there not being a trade agreement, according to The Telegraph. According to the British press, nominations in this regard could be made this Tuesday 9 January. Negotiations with the EU entered their second phase last December. No date for another round has yet been planned but at the end of January, European ministers are expected to approve the shift to talks about the transition phase. (SP)
