Mário Centeno appointed Chairman of Board of Governors for Eurozone’s permanent bailout fund

21/12/2017 (Agence Europe) – The Board of Governors of the European Stability Mechanism (ESM), the Eurozone’s permanent bailout fund, elected Mário Centeno, the Portuguese Minister for Finance, as its new chairman on 21 December. From Saturday 13 January, Centeno will replace Jeroen Dijsselbloem from the Netherlands at the head of the Eurogroup.  (MB)
