First cross-border protected designation of origin for a wine is registered

21/12/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 21 December, the European Commission approved the registration of the first cross-border protected designation of origin (PDO) for a wine, the Maasvallei Limburg, from Belgium and the Netherlands.  Wines of this designation can be white, red or rosé and are produced from grape varieties grown on the two banks of the River Meuse in the Belgian and Dutch regions of Limbourg.  Other cross-border protected denominations for food products and...
