Council of EU reaches political agreement in principle on energy/climate governance mechanism

In Brussels on Monday 18 December, the energy ministers of the EU reached an informal political agreement (‘general orientation’) on the draft regulation establishing a system of governance of the Energy Union to put energy and climate planning into a single framework.
