Member states give get-go for revision of rules on use of non-motorised balloons

14/12/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 13 December, the Committee of Permanent Representatives to the EU (Coreper) gave the go-ahead for the adoption of two implementing regulations published by the European Commission on 26 and 27 October last to simplify and regulate the use of non-motorised balloons (see EUROPE 11908). This decision by Coreper follows the recommendation by the Council's aviation group in this sense on Thursday 7 December (see EUROPE 11923). The Council of the European Union and Parliament are expected to give their respective positions soon in view of implementing these new rules. (LT)
