Aid of €174.4 million to tackle causes of illegal migration to Europe

Thirteen new projects for tackling the underlying causes of illegal immigration from the Horn of Africa to Europe and forced displacement in this region of East Africa will receive €174.4 million in financing from the EU Trust Fund for Africa, announced the European commission on Tuesday 12 December.

From migrant protection to job creation and means of subsistence, via the supply of basic social services, these projects will help encourage stability in the region said international...
