22/11/2017 (Agence Europe) – The European Parliament’s agriculture committee voted by 39 to 5 on 22 November to give the go-ahead to adoption of the agricultural chapter of the omnibus regulation. This text was separated from the rest of the omnibus regulation, negotiations on which are still continuing (see EUROPE 11907). The main measures of this regulation relate to producer organisations and risk management. They still have to be passed by Parliament, probably in the plenary session of 11-14 December. They will then need to be formally adopted by the Council of the EU before being implemented at the start of 2018.
