Euro-African conference at European Parliament on 22 November for new boost to AU-EU partnership summit in Abidjan

As a highly involved stakeholder in the preparations for the fifth Africa-EU summit that will also be the first African Union (AU)-EU summit (Abidjan, 29-30 November), the European Parliament is to organise a high-level Euro-African conference on Wednesday 22 November ("Towards a renewed partnership with Africa").

Parliament will have adopted its position for this summit several days earlier.  A vote is scheduled on 16 November on the report by Maurice Ponga (EPP, France) which advocates...
