IRU opposes provisional application of 'posted workers' directive to international transport

02/11/2017 (Agence Europe) – In a press release at the end of October, the International Road Transport Union (IRU) welcomed the position of the Council of the European Union. This confirms the exclusion of international transport from the scope of application of the revision of the directive (96/71/EC) covering posted workers (see EUROPE 11890).
