Commission advocates setting up independent authorities for road passenger transport

Within the second part of the “mobility” package the European Commission will be presenting on 8 November next, a simplification of international car and coach passenger transport rules in an effort to support the development of inter-urban transport will be proposed.

This is included in a draft revision of regulation 1073/2009/EU and 561/2006/EC on bus and coach passenger transport, of which EUROPE has obtained information. These two documents seek to liberalise this kind of...
