30/10/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 27 October, the EU condemned the terrorist attack carried out the day before against the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in Mali (MINUSMA), leaving several 'blue helmets' dead and injured in northern Mali. The spokesperson for the European External Action Service (EEAS) condemned the attack, which aimed to prevent peace and stability in Mali, on behalf of the European Union, adding that those responsible must be arrested and brought to justice. Expressing condolences for the families of the victims and wishing the injured a swift recovery, the EU reiterates its support for MINUSMA and its commitment to support the efforts of Mali and the international community in favour of the country, the security and development of the country and of the Sahel region.
